License Plate Challenge
August 9th, 2007
We kept track of all the license plates we saw on our huge journey across the United States and scientifically deduced that 5 states are not very big travelers with their cars. Anyone want to guess which states they are?
(Hint: one of the states requires shipping your car to the mainland.)

Ok, I am going to go with Hawaii. Based on Tim’s blog, I’ll choose Delaware. Then, Idaho, West Virginia and Kansas
Hmmm… Hawaii, Alaska, Rhode Island, Maine, and Nevada. Those are my guesses. Was I right?
Okay, I know you said something when you were here, but I can’t remember…
Hawaii (duh), Arkansas, New Mexico, Maine, North Carolina
Hawaii, Alaska, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Nevada?
I think that I will go with:
Hawaii
Rhode Island
Alaska
Idaho
Louisiana
So far no one has gotten more than two right…
How long should I drag this out? Do you want more time to think about your answers?
(One more hint - we saw a north but not it’s partner south)
Okay, new guess…
Hawaii
South Carolina
Lousiana
Maine
& Delaware
Jenn wins with three. Congratulations - if it was being graded, you would pass.
The license plates we didn’t see were:
Hawaii, West Virginia, South Carolina, Louisiana, and Mississippi
I never settled for just passing!
FUNNY … I saw LOTS of Mississippi, South Carolina, and Louisiana plates on my “big trip” in June this year?!!! Go figure …. (you say … I was VISITING those states?? A mere COincidence!) …

Sorry for giving the answers before you could get an A+, Jenn. I will have to run another contest soon.
I was amazed how much Florida people get around. They were everywhere.
