Phone Journey

July 2nd, 2007

I finally synced my phone with our computer. I have been storing funny, interesting, sentimental pictures for the year we have had these phones. Please join with me on my phone’s picture journey.

Kevin, Abby, and Lexi

Sonja and Hanna

Some really nice people helped us pack up and leave Minnesota.

Yale on a beautiful day.

I love walking around downtown.

This is the biggest dragonfly I have ever seen. It landed on Tim’s sweater and I wouldn’t let him shoo it away until I snapped a picture.

Project Runway Fans?!

This one is for my dad. We saw cars in these “parking spots” all over downtown NYC. Amazing.

Caleb at Christmas time.

Our Prius hits 1000 miles. Sadly, with my long commute we are now up to 9000.

I have never seen such a patriotic vehicle from head to toe. Please take note of the prom pictures of the parents on the back end of the van and the kids pictures on the side doors. I thought I had it bad when my color blind dad wanted to paint a vehicle a green he could recognize - which meant it was a bright Kelly Green. I used to make him park a block away from school so no one would see me in such a horrible vehicle. I can’t imagine the emotional damage being experienced by the children whose faces are pasted on the side of this Chevy Astro.

New Haven has turned into the city of Bedford for the shooting of the next Indiana Jones. Store fronts have been transformed into 1950’s garb. It’s great.

Thanks for coming along.

The van reminds me of a horrible hour at Mount Rushmore. The art of the profiles was incredible; the rest was . . . well . . . imagine a beautifully crafted diamond stuck in a gawdy setting being worn by Liberace. While the diamond is beautiful, it’s lost in the over-dramatization of the environment.
