Snow Days

School was cancelled today due to strange/bad weather. I think we are experiencing a sleet storm. Being outside is painful - cold wind and sharp icy things hitting you. There is a large accumulation of snow - but it is basically really fluffy ice. Either way, I am so glad to have a snow day. All the teachers were excitedly talking about school being cancelled today. I can’t imagine how horrible everyone would have acted if we had to go in today after talking all day about not coming in.

I have all ready spent the morning in a coffee shop, met my husband for lunch, and wandered around Barnes and Noble. I love having mornings and afternoons free during the week. I think I was not made for traditional working hours, though I can tough it out for a while.

For now, I will brave the weather and enjoy my time off. Maybe the roads will still be bad tomorrow?!
