Labor Day
On Labor Day we decided to have some adventure. The day began with searching out a local flea market. I think I had dreams about a flea market being much cooler than it was. TLC’s Trading Spaces has shown me that I can find great things at a flea market for a small price, unfortunately I couldn’t find those great things. One guy did try to sell me NASCAR racing cards (which reminded me of Kevin), 2 for a dollar. There was also lots of groceries and dirty non-antiques. The adventure was interesting, but a little depressing.
Later that afternoon, we went to the Odyssey Greek Festival. we ate many wonderful homemade treats and saw some traditional dances. As we were driving around looking for parking, we heard some kids yell out, “Montana! Who comes here from Montana?” I was quickly reminded of being drug to some boring events with my parents, like a tractor show. I would have been thinking a similar thing if I saw a car with a license plate from Connecticut driving around looking for parking. Despite the kids negative attitudes, we had a great time.
