Nicole and I are proud to introduce Panther.
She is our Shih Tzu puppy. At last weighing she was 3 lbs. 2 oz. Her hair is black with streaks of brown and a white tummy.
She has no namesake, although her name does connect her with the best of the felines, Nicole’s hometown, a great movie, and a great TV show.

So you’re saddling the poor thing with a name that will lead to species confusion. Good on you. I look forward to your first child being named “Fish.”

Dawn, yes, Panther was a compromise pet: serving the role of both cat and dog. Her pan-species name is appropriate.
