Inessentials

It’s getting closer. I can almost see it.

About 10 days from now I should be through all of my requirements for this semester. All the major deadlines, the must-do’s, the can’t-wait-any-longer’s. Then I have a short reprieve to actually work on the stuff that is interesting at the pace that I can enjoy, while slowly eyeing the next big thing, teaching in June. Teaching in June will take a good bit of time, since it’s not a class I’ve taught before, but I still don’t think it will be as much as what I’ve been doing recently.

I’m just looking forward to having finally met the goals that I’ve known about for the last four months. I don’t mind having new goals, just as long as they really are new ones.
