I think that was the crowning moment for ReAL--we were &quot;big&quot; enough to score a day-early advance press copy.

I&#039;ve also got to give a nod to The Current. They single-handedly reclaimed radio listening for me. I&#039;d given up and ceded my car stereo to the iPod. Then they came along and ever since I&#039;ve been a committed public radio supporter. I&#039;ve also discovered all manner of bands, including Death Cab for Cutie, Ted Leo, Cloud Cult, Arcade Fire, the Fratellis and so many more. Not that those are incredible discoveries for a real music fan, but you&#039;re talking to the kid who grew up on Petra. 

I keep a running list of singles I hear on the Current and need to pick up on iTunes. 

Also worth mentioning is the Current&#039;s &lt;a href=&quot;http://minnesota.publicradio.org/radio/podcasts/song_of_the_day/&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;Song of the Day&lt;/a&gt; download. Free song every day, Monday through Friday. That&#039;s a lot of music. I generally only like and keep 10% of it, but that&#039;s still a lot of free music.</description>
